Growing up next to open spaces in Colorado, often I was out in the fields, exploring nature. My childhood was filled with a love for nature, animals, storytelling, and curiosity. Art seems to be a major crossroads of all the things that I still love.

As a teenager, I began taking classes at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design through their high school program, and eventually graduated from RMCAD with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Illustration. Throughout that time, I eagerly jumped into working in the art world, ranging in making assets for small online pet games, to taking private commissions. Once I graduated, I began attending local conventions. My learning continued even after school, when I began doing my own resin casting so that I can make my own figurines and pendants.

Animals, nature, and philosophy/spirituality remain as some of the most important aspects of my art. Along side my work as an artist, I've volunteered in spiritual groups, and I also work with animals (as a pet-sitter and kennel tech). I've been fortunate enough to see first hand the powerful connections people make with their critters, and I feel even more fortunate to commemorate that through my art. It is my hope that whatever I'm asked to create, the art will bring meaning to people's lives.

What would a cat artist be without her real life feline companions? The studio cats inspire me, and make sure that I'm taking proper care of myself. Pumba (left), was my childhood cat. Long ago, the first inkling that I wanted to do art for a living happened while I was drawing him, sleeping in the sun. Because he was my muse, he will forever have a place among my art.

In loving memory of Pumba.

Shia (right) came into my life years after Pumba. I adopted her from a friend during a rough time, and noticed that her vibrance reinvigorated a sort of playfulness in my art. Since then, many pieces of art have been made with her curled up in my arms. Shia also happens to know way more about fashion than I do, (as evidenced by her dapper hats), so she helps me pick out proper wear for shows and conventions.
